He mentioned this 'Kim Jong-il' and, i went *hUh~!* and asked my buddies beside me. maybe i was the onli one fidgeting asking for the spelling, that GP teacher said something like "Miss Zhang! Kim Jong-il, the mad man!, your boyfriend" omg... i was like *_* what's up???
well, okay, if he didn't knock me up on that day, i shall never know this 'important' person on Earth and continue my sua-ku-nism.

Subject: The self-reliant North Korea, so mysterious~
Some quotes from Wikipedia to spark ur interest in this communist state: [Within the country he(Kim Jong-il ) is commonly known by the title of "Dear Leader", part of his personality cult. Similarly, his late father Kim Il-sung held the title of "Great Leader."]
[North Korea is accused of having one of the worst human rights records of any nation, severely restricting most freedoms, including freedom of speech and freedom of movement, both inside the country and abroad.]
[Refugees have testified the existence of detention camps with estimated 150,000 to 200,000 inmates, and re

ported torture, starvation, rape, murder and slave labour.]
In today's paper:
NORTH KOREA-CHINA BORDER CITIES: SO CLOSE, YET SO FARcompares the cities of both sides (Dandong vs. Sinuiju and Tumen vs. Namyang) at the borderline share by China and North Korea.
well, i shall not talk bout how well is China's side as compared to n. Korea. highlight some from the north Korea's Namyang.

once night falls, the whole of north Korea border city is pitch dark
grey houses with peeling plaster, caked with dirt
few trees, most of them are cut down for firewood
schoolboys playing football on unmarked sandy field
mass propaganda, praising the regime and its leaders. some say: Military First.
the train comes to the city once every few days cuz of the lack of electricity
Namyang is considered well-off by North Korean standards.
