today's the first day of the hungry ghost festival
i brought my ham ham with me and followed my mum downstairs to burn some incense and pray.
as usual,we lighted the candles and joss sticks and started praying. after that, we burnt the incense in the large metal barrel.
that was all.

a few min earlier just now, my mum called me over to the corridor to see something.
it's a mid-aged couple starting to do the same ritual as wat we were doing in the afternoon. but the oli difference is that they're placing the incense paper on the grass patch.
indeed, they started to light a piece of them and the whole pile burned quickly.

so inconsiderate. i wanted to shout at them but my mama said, since they burned it there, they won't be afraid of wat people saying them.
she also said they will receive their punishment eventualli. dun need us to worry

ok, we watched them watching the incense finished burning. i was thinking whether they'll be that little kinder to sweep up the ashes.
but nope, they just walked away. i tracked their way home and they live on the seventh floor.

the govt. placed a barrel, not just one, but a few of them at the common grounds. they're there for a reason.
we all know about that. i thought we're civilised enough to understand. but that idiotic couple is realli borned brainless.
the whole neighbourhood is using that barrel as i can see, except them.
don't they fell paiseh?

the whole ritual takes oli bout 5 mins but the damage is quite large.
the grass patch is burnt and it takes a few week for it to regrow.
the ashes will be susceptible to wind and results in a dirty environment.
ashes can fly up to several storey high, u noe? or do those morons noe?
the grounds will also be dirtied.imagine walkin with the ashes all around?
the cleaning up also make work more difficult to our cleaners.

ok my frens, if u're practising that kinda method, i hope u can understand.
it doesn't make ani difference as in the spirits cannot receive the offerings or wat. they WILL!
AND IT ALL DEPENDS WHETHER U'RE SINCERE OR NOT. it's not the pattern or the position that matters the most
